Naughty Nuri's Seminyak Team celebrating Indonesian Independence Day
Indonesia is a very wealthy country, most people said. There are more than 1,000 ethnics in this country, 1,211 languages, countless tourist attraction and in our case, innumerable delicious food comes from this our beloved country. Each province, city, even small islands have their own authentic food and we bet no one ever tries every food that this country has.
So, now…. Let’s see, you may have tried one of the Indonesian food at Nuri’s. Ibu Nuri herself is a Javanese and trust us, we might not be still here if she’s not a good Indonesian cook. In fact, our (in) famous pork ribs that we serve since 1995 is a local food using local herbs and cooked by local cooks. And, in case you didn’t realize we have other Indonesian dishes that are to die for…
1. Nuri's Nasi Goreng
Who in this world doesn’t know about this famous Indonesian food? You can almost find this dish everywhere, on the street, restaurant, houses and even 5-star eatery. And guess what? This is one of our top selling food. No argumentation needed…

Our signature Nasi Goreng comes with sunny side up, chicken satay, chicken cutlet, and prawn crackers. Spoiled, enough?
2. Chicken Satay
Satay comes originally from Java area, Madura. Usually, people sell this food on a cart and they go to every houses complex. It has this sweet taste on the chicken and serves with peanut sauce on the side.
Nuri's Chicken Satay
Our chicken satay is quite different in terms of presentation as we have this MEGA size, bigger than usual satay. We also don’t pair this with peanut sauce, instead, we suggest you dip it with our secret sauce that placed on every table. The best way to eat this is with steamed rice just like the locals way.
3. Javanese Chicken Curry
There’s a lot of types of curry but what we have here is Javanese curry. What’s good in this dish is, we use the authentic heritage herbs from Indonesia. It’s not as thick as Indian curry as we use coconut milk instead of cream.
Javanese Chicken Curry
It’s served hot and inside you can find chicken, variety of vegetables and most importantly the richness of flavor in it. You can have this for sharing or as main dish with steamed rice. Definitely, a go to food when you need.
4. Nuri's Signature Spare Ribs
Last but definitely not the least, is our famous pork ribs. Of course, this dish is what made us famous. Nuri started her warung by selling pork ribs with her recipe which is using Balinese spices. It’s marinated with a lot of spices from Bali and glazed on lava stone.
Nuri's Signature Pork Ribs
It became so famous around expat community in Bali at that time because it’s not the same as usual BBQ sauce. These sticky babies will have you licking your fingers and begging for more. Still have doubt? Come here and try this addictive dish…
What’s better than introducing our new personnel in this month?! Yep, it’s time for a refreshment to all our fans and to our team also ;)
After a year, we’re guessing there has to be something to add to the menu and take out some to make sure the menu is packed, for all you need and not too scattered. In the process of mixing new menu, we’re also received many inputs from the customers because that’s the best thing to do! Getting to know what your customers like. Not to mention, months of testing food process in the kitchen for a better result.
And now… we are ready to share you some of them, four of them to be exact, what are the new menus items that you can expect to have on your next visit to us!
Potato Crisp Nachos
Crunchy, tasty and cheesy are the top three words that describe how this dish will taste. Trying not to be normal, we replace the usual corn nachos into thin slices of potato crispy to be the main character in our version of nachos. You will find the same old condiments as baked beans, tomato salsa and sour cream. But, you can add up to your liking with pulled pork, grilled chicken, sausage or bacon. Still not enough? We will put mountain of melted cheese on top of them. This is a perfect meal for sharing and best pair with ice cold beer!
Naughty Pork Quesadilla
New on the chart of Bites & Sides, is Pork Quesadilla. Who doesn’t like quesadilla?? It’s everyone’s best friend and it’s the right food start your lunch or dinner. The crusty tortilla filled with juicy pulled pork, melted cheese and pineapple salsa. Kids will definitely love this! The new twist of pineapple salsa really kicks when you wrap it all together. You can have it for appetizer or if you’re not good at sharing, you can have this for yourself for mains and add mix fries to get a perfect combo.
Balinese may be familiar with this dish which is usually called as Sup Balung. It’s basically made of pork bones and broth with variety of herbs in it. How to eat this like a local? Pair this soup with steamed rice with fried shallot and lastly, crackers. This bowl of heaven could also a cure for your sore throat and would be nice to enjoy when it’s raining outside. It can be a great additional to your pork ribs too, as you can combine the soup with the fall off the bone Rack of Nuri’s Famous Ribs. YUM!
